Monday – Friday    :    Most banks are open from 9:00am to 3:00pm, while certain banks are open until 5:00pm
Saturday     :    Most banks are open on Saturdays until 1:00pm

Travellers Cheques

Travellers cheques can be exchanged at most banks. Exchange rates for travellers cheques can be better than the 
rate of exchange for cash. To avoid extra exchange rate charges, it is best to take travellers cheques in US Dollars 
or Pounds Sterling. Expect a nominal transaction fee of around Rs. 150.
